BASF presents an innovative solution for food industry of Azerbaijan
Concern BASF, the world leader in chemical industry, has taken part in the 17th Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition WorldFood Azerbaijan 2011 held in Baku on 25-27 May. According to BASF, the concern which is represented in Azerbaijan by subsidiary BASF Caspian, participated in the exhibition with focus on innovative solutions segment – flooring system Ucrete®. The system of the industrial floor coatings of “Ucrete” series are widely applied in construction works of food industry namely in butter manufacturing, in the meat and fish processing factories, in the sauce and tinned food manufacturing entities and etc. These floor coating systems have an exceptional degree of stability in regard to the effect of aggressive chemical substances; high impact and thermo stability. The concern is constantly offering the latest solutions for its customers, investing annually up 350 million euro in their developments.
In the current year 100 companies of 19 countries from all over the world participated in the WorldFood Azerbaijan. Among these countries there were: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Germany, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lithuania, Netherlands, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, France, and etc. 30% of the fair was occupied by the domestic companies.
The participants of WorldFood Azerbaijan were well prepared to the fair. Live discussions and tasting of products were hold in every stand. The organizers also noted the annual growth of the level of participation of Azerbaijan companies. Thus 40% of the fair were debutants.
